Jazz Session – Relaunch der Schönbach Session
Die Schönbach-Sessions haben ihre Wurzeln im Jazzseminar Schönbach und bieten die Möglichkeit, regelmäßig gemeinsam zu musizieren, zu jammen, sich zu treffen und sich auszutauschen.
Zu den Schönbach-Sessions sind alle MusikerInnen eingeladen, die miteinander ohne Genregrenzen jammen und Musik kreieren wollen. Viefalt, Kreativität und Authentizität sind gefragt!
Jazz Manouche/Swing aus Wien
EN PASSANT wurde 2023 als Straßenmusik-Trio mit den Gitarristen Aron Hollinger, Lukas Aringer und dem Kontrabassisten Felix Zinsser gegründet. Die drei gebürtigen Bayern verbindet neben einer langjährigen Freundschaft auch eine gemeinsame musikalische Vergangenheit in verschiedenen Projekten.
Mit dem Wiener Klarinettisten und Sänger Leonhard Hochmeister, den sie 2024 beim Django Reinhardt Festival kennenlernten, wuchs die Formation zu einem Quartett. Er bereichert die Band durch sein vielseitiges Repertoire, sein feines Gespür für Stimmungen und seine lebendige Kommunikation mit dem Publikum.
Gemeinsam stehen EN PASSANT für zeitlosen Charme und eine einzigartige Stilfusion aus Jazz Manouche, alten deutschen Schlagern, Wienerlied und französischen Chansons präsentiert in abwechslungsreichen Arrangements, mitreißenden Soli, mehrstimmigem Gesang und einer guten Prise Humor.
EN PASSANT was founded in 2023 as a street music trio by guitarists Aron Hollinger, Lukas Aringer, and double bassist Felix Zinsser. The three Bavarian natives are not only connected by a long-standing friendship, but also by a shared musical history through various joint projects.
With the addition of Viennese clarinetist and singer Leonhard Hochmeister whom they met at the Django Reinhardt Festival in 2024—the formation expanded into a quartet. He enriches the band with his extensive repertoire, his keen sense for atmosphere, and his engaging communication with the audience.
Together, EN PASSANT stands for timeless charm and a unique fusion of styles, blending Jazz Manouche with vintage German schlager, Viennese songs, and French chansons—presented through tasteful arrangements, captivating solos, rich vocal harmonies, and a touch of humor.

Groove/Funk/Session
For those who don’t know WBU:
West Belt United is a Vienna-based collective of musicians dedicated to solely improvised groove music.
„Groove Club“ is one of the oldest sessions in town (15 years now)!
Every second Thursday, musicians and music lovers meet after their concerts and jam together late into the night.
And if you just want to listen, you’re very welcome to enjoy this amazing music.
WBU is THE after-hour jam session in Vienna. It starts at 22:00, and you can play until 3:00.
And even the openers are completely improvised!
