Weihnachten ist kitschig – das finden wir auch – und legen darunter ein paar jazzige Septakkorde. Am 09.12. laden fünf talentierte Sängerinnen und Musikerinnen (Stefanie Egger, Kathi Atz, Pia Bernardi, Hope Will Lead, Maddy Rose) zu einem besonderen Abend mit neu-interpretieren Christmas Songs und auch eigenen Werken aus Soul/Pop/Jazz ein! Jede Künstlerin präsentiert ihre persönliche musikalische Note, und gemeinsam schaffen sie einen unvergesslichen Abend mit weniger Kitsch aber dennoch Weihnachts-flair.

Das „Fluid Quintet“ wurde 2023 von der Bandleaderin Sabrina Maurer ins Leben gerufen. Inspiriert von der norwegischen Landschaft entstanden Stücke wie „Wasserfall“ oder „Im Fluss“. Dazu gesellten sich nun instrumentale Erzählungen über Wiener Rolltreppen und einen französischen Regenschirm. Während hochenergetischer Passagen und kammermusikalischen Momenten erweitern elektronische Sounds die Klangpalette aus Violine, Cello, Trompete, Schlagzeug und Klavier. Das Wichtigste im Leben darf jedenfalls nie fehlen: Die Improvisation.

West Belt United is a Vienna-based collective of musicians dedicated to solely improvised groove music.
„Groove Club“ is one of the oldest sessions in town (15 years now)!
Every second Thursday, musicians and music lovers meet after their concerts and jam together late into the night.
And if you just want to listen, you’re very welcome to enjoy this amazing music.
WBU is THE after-hour jam session in Vienna. It starts at 22:00, and you can play until 3:00.
And even the openers are completely improvised!
So grab your instrument and join! Learn from the best musicians in the city and network within the scene.
