Equipped with a formidable voice, Elena Shirin made first waves as a featured artist on numerous electronic music projects while still in her teens. By her early 20s she had left Europe to tour the US (with Moon Hooch, among others) and collected herself a mosaic of experiences.
Right when her solo debut, „From A to Be“, finally was released, the pandemic hit hard. Those early works nonetheless were well received – from BBC1 to Germany’s Musikexpress.
With a bouquet of influences from poetry and cinematic soundscapes to energetic beats, from classical music, jazz, tribal rhythm to hip-hop, Elena’s songwriting proves both great craftsmanship and astonishing ease; with subtle, yet profound lyrics; never naive, yet positively encouraging.

Von rhythmisch anspruchsvol-len Passagen in energetischen Arrangements, die sich von Rock über Jazz bis zu klassischen Nuancen erstrecken – eine musikalische Reise voller Viel-falt und Innovation.

Teschek ist eine Wiener Musikgruppe, die sich durch eine Mischung aus gesellschaftskritischem Humor, Wiener Schmäh und musikalischer Vielfalt auszeichnet. Der Stil der Band lässt sich als „authentische Wiener Gschichtldruckerei“ beschreiben – mal grantig, mal derb, aber meistens leiwand.
In der wiederkehrenden Reihe „Friends & Locals“, im Loop Wien, laden Teschek regelmäßig lokale Bands und aber auch liebe Freunde zu gemeinsamen Konzertabenden. Diese finden ihr Ende dann zumeist in der wohl ausgelassensten Jamsession der Stadt.

West Belt United is a Vienna-based collective of musicians dedicated to solely improvised groove music.
„Groove Club“ is one of the oldest sessions in town (15 years now)!
Every second Thursday, musicians and music lovers meet after their concerts and jam together late into the night.
And if you just want to listen, you’re very welcome to enjoy this amazing music.
WBU is THE after-hour jam session in Vienna. It starts at 22:00, and you can play until 3:00.
And even the openers are completely improvised!
So grab your instrument and join! Learn from the best musicians in the city and network within the scene.
