For those who don’t know WBU:
West Belt United is a Vienna-based collective of musicians dedicated to solely improvised groove music.
„Groove Club“ is one of the oldest sessions in town (15 years now)!
Every second Thursday, musicians and music lovers meet after their concerts and jam together late into the night.
And if you just want to listen, you’re very welcome to enjoy this amazing music.
WBU is THE after-hour jam session in Vienna. It starts at 22:00, and you can play until 3:00.
And even the openers are completely improvised!

So grab your instrument and join! Learn from the best musicians in the city and network within the scene.

Sofia Reyna ist eine junge Singer-Songwriterin, die mit einem abwechs-lungsreichen Programm aus eingängigen Popnummern, Latin- und Dance-Einflüssen sowie gefühlvollen Balladen begeistert. Mit authenti-schen Lyrics und ehrlichem emotionalem Ausdruck berührt sie ihr Publi-kum und schafft eine unmittelbare Verbindung zur Bühne.

Begleitet wird sie von der erfahrenen Bassistin Elina Arabella Blach, die sich kraftvoll, dynamisch und voller Ausdruck in den Sound integriert. Gemeinsam entwickeln die beiden eine intensive musikalische Spannung.
Sofia und Elina studieren an der JAM MUSIC LAB Privatuniversität und stehen seit Kurzem als energiegeladenes Frauenduo auf der Bühne – mit Groove, starker Bühnenpräsenz und einer großen Portion Leidenschaft.

Stick A Bush
ist eine Offbeat/Dub/Dance Formation, die sich Anfang 2019 in Wien gegründet hat. Die Leidenschaft zur jamaikanischen Musik sowie die Affinität zu anderen Musikrichtungen wie z.B. HipHop und Jazz hat uns zusammengeführt und unseren eigenen Sound kreieren lassen. Den wir bei der neuen Veranstaltungsreihe Stick A Sunday monatlich präsentieren werden!

Jazz Session – Relaunch der Schönbach Session

Die Schönbach-Sessions haben ihre Wurzeln im Jazzseminar Schönbach und bieten die Möglichkeit, regelmäßig gemeinsam zu musizieren, zu jammen, sich zu treffen und sich auszutauschen.

Zu den Schönbach-Sessions sind alle MusikerInnen eingeladen, die miteinander ohne Genregrenzen jammen und Musik kreieren wollen. Viefalt, Kreativität und Authentizität sind gefragt!

The MUK.jazz FLINTA* Session is open to all FLINTA* (Female, Lesbian, Inter, Non-binary, Trans-, Agender and everyone in between) Jazz musicians who feel like they don’t have enough space at regular sessions or haven’t felt encouraged to go on stage and jam. So whether you are a student, a professional, a freshly started jazz-enthusiast or just a supporter, come to Loop on the 23rd of April! We’re starting at 19h and finishing at 21:30.
This event is a collaboration between the MUK.jazz Department and the FLINTA* Musicians Community Vienna, who has hosted a Jam Session at Loop before
and does a monthly Stammtisch.
The stage is open for FLINTA* only, whereas the audience can be anyone who is respectful and conscious of the space we are trying to create. After our session, there will be the Westbelt United Groove session, so stay also for their set that starts at around 22h 🙂 We’re looking forward to a long night of jamming and hanging out!
