SHAKAR TRIO – Formed in April 2022 by three young musicians from Budapest: Marci Székely on
drums, Milán Papp on guitar, and Bálint Lendvai on keyboards. They are strongly influenced by the contemporary Hungarian jazz scene, but also draw inspiration from foreign influences: the fluidity of Scandinavian jazz and the dance-centricity of Balkan music can both be detected in their work. Their goal is for their music to cause a universal catharsis, to stir something in the listener.
