Indiepop/Indierock
Anna Katarina is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter whose music blends retro pop with indie rock, with echoes of country and soul. Hailed by Exclaim! as “one of Canada’s most exciting emerging artists,” she crafts emotionally charged, hook-laden songs that feel equally at home on a Laurel Canyon turntable or a ‘90s FM dial. Think Stevie Nicks meets Sheryl Crow with a modern twist of Maggie Rogers.
Known for her down-to-earth stage presence and soulful vocals, Anna has performed across North America and Europe, with appearances at BreakOut West (Canada), Your Roots Are Showing (Ireland), Sand & Strings Festival (Mexico), and Folk Alliance International (USA). She’s performed sold-out stages with artists like Shawn Hook and Said The Whale, and tours Germany twice a year, where a growing fanbase continues to blossom.
Her sophomore album, While I Was Dreaming (October 3rd, 2025), pairs vintage textures with honest songwriting, lyrically exploring how life enfolds while we’re busy making plans. The first single, “Riptide,” was praised by Duran Duran’s Simon Le Bon on SiriusXM’s The Spectrum and is the Canadian winner of PlayMPE’s 2025 Caster Emerge Contest.
