LASER SIGHTS — The New Brooklyn Sound of Jazz
Brooklyn-based jazz-fusion group Laser Sights comes to Vienna’s LOOP on October 26. Led by Slovak-Italian drummer, composer and full-scholarship Berklee graduate Mattia Müller, the project brings together rising US-based musicians from New York’s new generation of creative music. Blending explosive grooves, improvisation, electronic textures and experimental soundscapes, Laser Sights delivers a modern sound shaped by the energy of Brooklyn and the freedom of contemporary jazz.

Formed in Vienna in 2024, this five-piece collective brings together jazz heads, hip-hop lovers, and groove seekers from around the world. Blending jazz, hip-hop, neo-soul, house, and electronic textures, they create bold, original music that is as colourful as their live shows—tight, rich, and full of life. It is music that makes you move while rewarding a closer listen: dancefloor energy meets deep musicianship. Their sound draws inspiration from artists such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Robert Glasper, and Louis Cole.
